Why are items being left (by you) where you don’t want them?

Why are items being left (by you) where you don’t want them?

Do you notice some items are not being put away, despite best intentions? And despite them having a spot?

I noticed the other day that my tea towel was repeatedly being left on the side, and I would need to go back, and hang it up. Rather than it being habitual.

Likewise, a while back I noticed shoes kept gathering in a certain place.

Perhaps for you it’s books, or jewellery, or anything else at home or at work.

If that’s happening to you. Then typically it means that the ‘place’ or ‘space’ for them isn’t ideal.

It may be worthwhile looking into how you can make the actual storage, or storage spot more accessible, or more in keeping with the order of events, or add storage/better storage to that spot.

Ideally, I need to move my tea towel hook to the right rather than the left of my counter.

I added a low rattan box for my day to day shoes (I preferred that to a rack).

What is it for you..
– changing the location
– changing how hard it is to get into that storage

– adding storage to where you ‘leave’ it most

Let me know if you change anything!
