Why Lawyers Stay Stuck in Firefighting Mode and How to Reclaim Your Time to start the New Year differently

You may already know that the way you are working is not sustainable and you may have decided that the New Year should be different.

In this upcoming workshop, I am talking about why lawyers stay stuck in firefighting mode, even when they are already trying hard to work differently.

Your days are probably full of emails, interruptions, competing demands, and important work that keeps getting pushed back. You probably keep telling yourself that tomorrow you will do it differently.

You tell yourself to:

Implement better time management.
Protect your time.
Delegate more.
Set boundaries.
Stop reacting to everything as it comes in.

You may have already tried some approaches and found that they did not work as well as you had hoped, or did not last.

So why does that happen?

Knowing what to change is not always enough.

Drawing on 20 years of practising law, including as a salaried partner, and 10 years predominantly coaching law firm founders and partners, I will explore why making these changes can be difficult, even when you know they would help, and what you can do differently to make them work for you in your law firm.
If the date does not suit you, you can read more about my coaching for law firm founders, owners and partners.
