Like many law firm owners, my client was caught in the cycle of constant fee-earning and responding to management demands. They were too busy working in the business.
The projects that really mattered to the firm kept being delayed. Working on the business was postponed.
Not through lack of effort, but because there was very little space to step back and plan for the work, and how to manage interruptions.
Our coaching sessions allowed protected thinking time. An uninterrupted opportunity to focus on what needed attention, what was a business priority, and what was causing disruption. Together, we clarified priorities, broke down the projects that had been difficult to progress, and put a clear plan in place.
We also explored what could derail the plan, from client matters to team members, and included personal habits and traits. Putting into place a plan, that recognised and supported the reality, allowing a greater chance of creating sustainable change.
